Dajjal and False Messiah
What Islam Says About the Dajjal
I respect Muslims and their prophet's warning. The point here is what the hadith themselves say about Al-Masih ad-Dajjal, the false messiah, and every quote below links to the source.
The one-eyed deceiver
"No prophet was sent but that he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not so, and there will be written between his (Ad-Dajjal's) eyes (the word) Kafir (i.e., disbeliever)."
Sahih al-Bukhari 7131
"I warn you of him, and there was no prophet but warned his followers of him; but I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his followers: Ad-Dajjal is one-eyed whereas Allah is not."
Sahih al-Bukhari 7127
The same warning is in Sahih Muslim 2933. The Prophet's answer to the Dajjal's claim to be God is simple: your Lord is not one-eyed. He claims godhood, and the flaw shows.
His paradise is hell
"Dajjal is blind of left eye with thick hair and there would be a garden and fire with him and his fire would be a garden and his garden would be fire."
Sahih Muslim 2934a
False miracles
In Sahih Muslim 2937a he commands the sky and it rains, the crops grow for those who believe in him, the wasteland gives up its treasures, and drought falls on those who reject him. Then Jesus, son of Mary, descends and kills him at the gate of Ludd.
My theory: I believe Trump fits the Dajjal. Ask yourself why a man who sells a golden age, rewards the loyal and punishes the ones who refuse him, posts pictures of himself as the Pope and as a healer, and sells a Bible with his name on it, lines up with a deceiver whose promised garden is fire. Both traditions end the same way: Jesus defeats the false messiah.
The False Messiah and the Third Temple
I respect Jewish people and their texts. This is about what Jewish tradition itself says about a false redeemer, never about the people.
Armilus
Medieval Jewish apocalyptic texts name the final enemy Armilus. In Sefer Zerubbabel (around the 7th century), Armilus is born of a stone statue in Rome, rules the nations, claims to be the messiah and a god, and is struck down by the true Messiah. The Aramaic Targum on Isaiah 11:4 reads the verse's "wicked" as Armilus the wicked. (Armilus)
"and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked."
Isaiah 11:4, KJV
Edom and Esau
In rabbinic tradition Edom, the nation of Esau, stands for Rome and then the Christian West. "By thy sword shalt thou live" was Isaac's word to Esau (Genesis 27:40). In 2019 Israel365 News ran a headline that Trump could start the Third Temple "as Head of Edom." I believe a leader called the head of Edom by a Jewish outlet, cheered toward the Temple, is exactly what this tradition warned about.
The Third Temple
The Christian side says the false one sits in the temple itself:
"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
2 Thessalonians 2:4, KJV
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate"
Daniel 9:27, KJV
My theory: red heifers, Third Temple patches on uniforms and a covenant called peace all point to the same stage. Ask yourself why the man at the center of it keeps getting cast as a redeemer.
